Maizy can often be found under Mia's crib.  I have a feeling Maizy and Mia are going to be good buddies!

Rio:  What's this, another new puppy this year?

Maizy:  I thought I was the favorite new puppy?  Rio, she smells funny.

Rio:  Yea, but she smells better than you.  I think she's sweet.  Tastes sweet, too! Mom gets mad at me when I lick her, though.

Maizy:  No kidding!  I can't get within 6 inches of her without having Mom say 'No no no!'  I just want to check her out. 

Rio:  You've gotta learn to be calm.  I am, that's why Mom lets me sit on her lap with Mia when Mia's eating. 

Maizy:  Well, I like her.  I'm glad she's here, even though I don't get my walks like I used to.  Thank goodness Brendan came over on Sunday and took me for a walk! 

Rio:  I didn't think I'd want another sister, but I like her, too.  I especially like that she doesn't pull my tail or my ears-- like you do!  (Oh, just wait, Rio!)

Maizy:  I like that she's squeaky, like my toys.  Maybe I'll get to play with her soon.  For now, let's lay down and take a nap by her.

Rio:  Sounds good.  We've gotta make sure she's safe and sound so stay close by.

 

(Both dogs are usually found right by Mia.  I have tried to take pictures of them with her countless times, but Rio always runs away from the camera.  They both are very protective of her already!)

Whew, all's well as long as Dad's around.  He doesn't mind!

Our FAVORITES!  We love getting our Kongs after Mom gets home from work! (Note that Rio is guarding one while making sure Maizy is occupied. Maizy likes to take both!)

Dad gave me a duck to play with while he and Mom were at work.  I don't know what got into me.  Is this why I'm being sent off to 'camp' for 4 weeks?

Ah, this is the life.  Maizy's away at 'camp' and I get some R&R with Allison at Innsbrook.  Na, na, na na, na!
